The world our students will inherit is highly interconnected, rapidly changing, and filled with complex global challenges. At SOC Academy, we believe that preparing students for the future means expanding their horizons far beyond their immediate environment. Therefore, we introduce Global Perspective as a signature subject for our upper-level students to build critical global awareness, cross-cultural empathy, and the ability to adapt to international developments.
In this class, we encourage our students to analyze and compare various worldwide issues from different social, cultural, environmental, and economic angles. We guide them to explore current world topics, connect these global phenomena with local realities, and engage in reflective dialogues that challenge their thinking. By exploring these real-world issues, students learn to appreciate multiple viewpoints, question assumptions, and develop a well-rounded understanding of the world around them.
Through this curriculum, we do not expect our students to simply absorb facts about the world, but we want to inspire them to step forward as responsible changemakers.
